Clinical Abstracting
Providing a more efficient and accurate database
Currently, implementations of Epic and other EHR’s at several large university settings are supported by creating a historical data base for the client. In each implementation, nurses review previous electronic records or scanned images of medical records and complete the documentation of the patient’s history in your EHR, including current lab values, ongoing medications, as well as the patient history.
The patient data transferred to your new system is discrete and searchable, enabling you to begin using the system immediately upon the patient's re-visit following system implementation without having to rely on the previous systems used, either paper or another electronic record.
- Clinically trained experts ensure charts are accurate and contain all relevant patient information.
Trained and certified nurses remotely review previous electronic records or scanned images of archived medical records and complete the documentation of the patient's history in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) as searchable, discrete data. - Health system can begin "ehr cutover" process immediately upon next patient visit and start recouping investment
Clinical Abstracting services enable the client/caregiver to begin using the system immediately upon the patients first re-visits following system implementation without having to rely on the previous systems used - accelerating both implementation and adoption. - Med-scribe provides the same quality services but in a secure remote secure environment, drastically reducing cost
Health systems typically use on-site, high-priced temporary nurses specifically to build a clinical history in their newly implemented EHR system. Med-Scribe can provide the same services, typically in a shorter timeframe, for a fraction of the cost.
